I. Bel Canto Classical Singing Sampler

Package of 6 hour-long lessons to be taken over an eight-week period

Six lessons introduce the art and craft of developing your singing voice: how to take a voice lesson and work with your sound, how to understand your voice’s current setup, how to practice effectively and choose repertoire that will serve your voice at each stage of its growth.

You receive a set of exercises (“vocalises”) geared toward strength and quality of sound, agility, expansion of range, coordination and musicality. We observe how the vocalises affect your voice over the six weeks. It’s a chance to discover whether this very special kind of musical training is something you would like to jump into during your high school years. We listen to professional recordings to talk about what you hear in singing, what you like, and what you might want for your own voice.
